identification: Medium size, round. The base colour is pale yellow, washed reddish orange and marked with darker stripes. The calyx is small and set in a wide, moderately shallow, pleated basin. The stem is long, somewhat slender and set in a deep funnel-shaped cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured, firm, crisp. Juicy and sweet-tart.
origins: A chance seedling, possibly from Granny Smith with pollen from either Jonathan or Rokewood , that emerged at Donnybrook in Western Australia in the early 1930s.
progeny: This is the pollen parent of Cripps Pink and Cripps Red .
harvest: Ready for harvest in the middle of the sixth period.
