identification: Medium size, Round conic, sometimes cylindrical. The bas colour is green over which is a dull red blush on the sun exposed face. The eye is large and open, set in a somewhat deep and ribbed basin. The stem is medium stout and medium long, set in a somewhat deep, funnel shaped cavity which is usually lined with a greenish russet.
characteristics: The flesh is greenish, very firm and crisp. Sweet.
uses: Excellent in pies, jelly,. Also good for eating out of hand.
origins: Originated in Rokewood, Victoria (Australia) during the mid?1800s.
