identification: Medium size, round conic. The base colour is straw yellow over which is a dark red wash marked with striping.

origins: Developed in 1935 at the Sprenger Institut Voor de Veredeling van Tuinbouwgewassen, Wageningen (Netherlands) by crossing Reinette Rouge Étoilée with pollen from Cox’s Orange Pippin .
