identification: Small. Skin color is golden yellow marked with pink lenticels.
characteristics: The flesh is white, firm. Juicy and sweet with citrus flavours. Bruises easily.
origins: One of several sweet crabapple varieties found growing in Albert Etter's orchards by Greenmantle Nursery of Garberville, California (U.S.A.) in the years following his passing. Greenmantle collected these into what it calls the Sweetmeat Crab selection. It was developed by Etter at his orchards in Humbolt County, California (U.S.A.) in the 1930s.
