identification: Medium size, round to conic with angular sides. The base colour is yellow over which is a bright red to deep red wash with darker striping which fades toward the base colour on the shaded face. The calyx is medium to large and partly open, set in a deep and medium narrow basin which is surrounded by a knobbed crown. The stem is short, and medium thick, set in a medium deep, narrow cavity which sometimes has a bit of russet.
characteristics: The flesh is white, fine-grained and crisp. Juicy, sweet-sharp and aromatic.

cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright spreading. Precocious. Thinning after fruit set is essential to maintain fruit size. Likely to produce biennial harvest.
