identification: Medium size, round conic. The base colour is green-yellow, often with an orange blush on the sun-exposed face, over which is a coat of fine, golden russetting. The calyx is small and closed, set in a narrow, medium deep basin. The stem is slender and long, set in a funnel-shaped, deep cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured, crisp and crunchy. Juicy, sweet and nutty.

Cox’s Orange Pippin crossed with pollen from
Golden Delicious in 1975 by accomplished amateur apple breeder Hugh Ermen of Faversham, Kent (U.K.). Introduced in 2003 and marketed by Nick Dunn of Frank P. Matthews Nursery of Tenbury Wells, Wocestershire.
cultivation: Moderate vigour, upright spreading. Spur bearer, crops heavy annually.
