identification: Large, round and usually asymetric shape, ribbed and crowned. Yellow base colour, over which is a pattern of red striping and marked with moderately large, scattered lenticels. The skin tends to be waxy and develops a mild bloom as it ripens. The stem is moderately stout and moderately long, set in a somewhat shallow and broad cavity. The calyx is set in a somewhat shallow and wide basin.
characteristics: The flesh is white, firm, somewhat juicy. Tends to brown quickly when exposed to air.
