identification: Medium size, round. Smooth, tough skin. The base colour is yellow, washed reddish orange.
characteristics: The flesh is white, moderately fine-grained and firm. Juicy and sweet-tart and aromatic.
origins: Developed at the Institut für Acker- und Pflanzenbau in Müncheberg (Germany) from a cross of Cox’s Orange Pippin x Geheimrat Doktor Oldenburg . Released in 1976.
cultivation: Vigorous, spreading tending to brushy growth. Tip bearer. Needs regular, careful pruning.
