identification: Medium, conic, sometimes waisted toward the . The base colour is greenish yellow over which is a deep red wash fading to medium red striping on the edges of the wash. The calyx is small and partly open, set in a shallow, medium wide, lightly puckered basin. The stem is short, slightly stout and set in a narrow basin. The skin develops a thin bloom on the surface.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured, firm and crisp. Juicy and sweet with a sprightly, strawberry flavour.
