summary: This is one of several sweet-tart, red-fleshed apples bred by Markus Kobelt in Switzerland during the early 2000s. Others in this series include Redlove Era , Redlove Calypso , Redlove Circe , Redlove Lollipop , Redlove Odysso and Redlove Kohlhaas .
characteristics: Resists browning when exposed to air.
uses: Redlove® Sirena’: Said to be scab resistant and similar to ‘Elstar in its acidity. ‘Sirena’ ripens in August/September and can only be stored about one month
origins: Bred by Markus Kobelt, owner of Lubera Nurseries of Buchs, Kanton St. Gallen in the Upper Rhine Valley of Switzerland.
cultivation: Tolerate Hardiness Zones 5 to 8
cold storage: Does not store well.
