identification: Abundant brownish russet lenticels. Base colour greenish yellow maturing to golden yellow, often blushed pale orange. Lightly russetted. The stem is medium stout and long, set in a deep and narrow cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream coloured, moderately fine grained.
uses: Intended as a fresh eating apple, but also used widely for juice.
origins: A seedling of Golden Delicious discovered in 1954 by Homer Kemp and raised by Bountiful Ridge Nursery at Princess Anne in Maryland (U.S.A.). Introduced in 1966. The pollen parent is unknown. It is sometimes listed as a mutation of Golden Delicious rather than a seedling.
cultivation: Vigorous. Spur bearer.

notes: Similar to Golden Delicious but more russetted.
