The calyx is medium size and partly open, set in a medium-deep, wide and rippled basin. The stem is medium long, and medium stout, set in a somewhat deep and funnel-shaped basin.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured and crisp. Juicy, sweet-sharp.

Sturmer Pippin raised by M.B. Crane at the John Innes Horticultural Institute in Merton, Surrey (U.K.) starting in 1914. Introduced in 1948.
