summary: A limb mutation of Kidd's D-8 found in 1998 by Tom and Bob McLaughlin at Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio (U.S.A.). Ripens five days earlier and tends to be firmer than Gala. Excellent flavour. The base colour is yellow over which there is sometimes a reddish blush. Susceptible to fire blight.
