identification: Medium tending to large. Oblong. The base colour is pale yellow over which is a dense pattern of fine, crimson stripes which are heaviest on the sun-exposed faces and absent from the shaded face. The stem is short and moderately stout, extending just clear of the cavity. The calyx is small, closed and set in a shallow and narrow basin.
characteristics: The flesh is crisp. Very juicy and sweet with mild flavour.
