identification: Medium, round tending to round-conic. Slightly ribbed. The skin is pale yellow, and washed a dark red with scattered light lenticels. Usually develops a substantial bloom on the skin. The stem is stout and medium tending to long, set in an open moderately deep and russeted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, often with red stains. Firm, crisp, and fine textured. Juicy, sweet, only slightly tart and aromatic with hints of strawberry.
