Identification: Medium size. Round. The skin base colour is yellow which is almost entirely washed red and covered with a thick bloom.
Characteristics: The flesh is white and crisp. Juicy and sweet with hints of strawberry.
Origins: A cross of Macoun with pollen from Jonathan developed in the 1950s by F. S. Howlett at the Ohio Agriculture Experiment Station, Wooster, Ohio (U.S.A.). Introduced in 1964.
Cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright. Tolerates Hardiness Zones 4 to 8.
