summary: A mutation of the Tenroy Gala discovered in 1985 at Hawkes Bay (New Zealand) and subsequently patented by Ken Kiddle of Huarangi Farm at Hawkes Bay, (New Zealand). Solid maroon colouring over which are darker red stripes. It ripens late in the fourth period, earlier than the Royal Gala.
