summary: A whole tree mutation of Galaxy Gala found growing in an orchard in the area of Corze in the Loire Valley (France) in 2002. Small to medium size apples, intensely dark purple-brown with no visible stripes. Slightly crowned. Ripens at the same time as Galaxy. susceptible to canker. Used extensively in areas where the development of characteristic Gala colouration is difficult to achieve.
