identification: The fruit is medium to large size, oblong conic shape, often slightly asymmetric and five prominent ribs at the crown. Skin colour is golden—almost apricot at full ripeness—on the sun-exposed face. Numerous star-shaped, large lenticels. The calyx is medium size and partly open, set in a medium deep and medium wide, ribbed basin. The stem is long to very long, slender and set in a somewhat narrow cavity which is green and often russetted.
characteristics: The yellowish flesh is crisp, firm, juicy, good sweet-tart balance, anise flavour. Fine-grained. The flesh has a tendency to brown after about an hour of exposure to air.

Tentation Delblush developed by Gerard Guillier in 1979 for the Delbard Pépinières International at Malicorne, in the Allier Department of Central France. A total of 275 seedlings were selected for further study from among all the pips that germinated for the first selection process and from these, two seedlings were selected for having traits reflecting the goals of the breeding. The two were grown to the stage where they produced fruit and the best seedling was then further propagated from cuttings. Patented and introduced in 1998,
