summary: This completely red-skinned apple was developed in Italy for the supermarket trade. It flowers early and matures late in the season with good storage life.
identification: Small to medium size, round to flat-round and lightly ribbed on the faces, crowned around the calyx basin. The base colour is yellowish-orange over which is a deep red wash. Russet around the stem cavity. Small, light-coloured lenticels. The calyx is small and closed, set in a shallow and moderately wide basin. The stem is moderately long and slender, set in a moderately deep and narrow cavity. Moderately crowned around
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured, crisp and juicy.
origins: Developed by Consorzio Italiano Vivaista, in Ferrara Province (Italy) by M. Leis, A. Martinelli, F. Tagliani, and G. Castagnoli in the late 1999 from a cross of
Galaxy Gala and A3-7. Selected in 2004.
cultivation: Moderately vigorous, open spreading. Branches have a drooping habit. Fruit develops on spurs and slender branches.
vulnerabilities: Resistant to scab.
harvest: Ready for harvest in the middle of the fifth period.
