identification: Medium tending to large. Round, sometimes oblong. The skin base colour is yellow, often with a pale pink or brownish blush on the sun exposed face. Russet lenticels and veins. The eye is medium size and closed, set in a medium deep and wide, slightly ribbed basin. The stem is very short and set in a medium deep and wide basin.
characteristics: The flesh is white, firm. Juicy and very sweet.
uses: Dessert apple, also used for cider.
origins: Sligo Ireland. described in 1951
