identification: Large, tall conic with a pronounced waist toward the eye and usually angular on the sides. The base colour is greenish yellow, washed maroon on the sun exposed face. The eye is large and partly open, set in a shallow and narrow basin which is surrounded by a knobbed crown. The stem is short and slender, set in a shallow, funnel shaped basin. Scattered, raised russet lenticels.
