identification: Medium size, round. Thebase colour is yellow washed maroon on the sun exposed surface and marked with scattered light coloured spots. The wash fades toward the shaded face which is often marked with scattered, faint red striping. The eye is medium size and partly open, set in a somewhat deep and narrow basin. The stem is medium length and slender, set in a deep and narrow cavity which is often russeted. A bloom develops on the skin as the apple ripens.
