identification: Slightly above medium size, ovate and angular on the sides. The skin base colour is yellow, washed brownish red with crimson streaks on the sun exposed face. Small grey lenticels. The eye is small and partly open, set in a medium deep and wide basin, surrounded by a knobbed crown. The stem is short and thick, set in a medium deep and narrow cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, crisp, firm and chewy. Juicy and sweet?sharp.
uses: A cooking apple.
origins: Originated in Wadhurst, Sussex (UK)
cultivation: Vigorous.
cold storage: Keeps up to three monts.
