identification: Medium size. Round and sometimes flattened. The yellowish base colour is washed deep red with darker striping on the sun exposed face and stripes fading to pale on the shaded surface. The eye is medium size and partly open, set in a very shallow and wide basin. The stem is medium long, slender and set in a patch of russet that extends out onto the shoulder.
