summary: Dessert apple, developed by Veitch Nursery of Exeter. Sharp with nutty flavour.
identification: Medium to large, round. The base colour is green with a maroon blush on the sun exposed face and largely to completely covered with a cinnamon russet. Marked with light coloured lenticels. The eye is medium size, partly open and set in a somewhat recessed, narrow basin which is surrounded by a network of russeting. The stem is long and slender, set in a deep and narrow cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, coarse-grained. Moderately juicy, chewy, sweet with some sharpness, very nutty.
origins: Developed by Veitch & Sons Nursery of Exeter in the 1800s.
cultivation: Upright
harvest: early in the middle period.
