identification: Medium size or smaller, round sometimes ovate. The skin base colour is greenish yellow, washed bright red on the sun exposed face and covered with russet lenticels. The stem is short and set in a narrow and shallow cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellow, crisp. Juicy, sweet and flavourful. Keeps four months in cold storage.
uses: A highly regarded eating apple.
origins: Raised at Vale Mascal near Bexley, Kent
