identification: Medium size and round to flat round, sometimes round conic. Smooth, pale yellow skin with prominent red stripes and abundantly marked with faint, pale lenticels. The stem is medium length and slender, set in a deep and wide cavity. The calyx is closed and set in a shallow basin. The entire surface is usually covered with a white bloom.
characteristics: The flesh is whitish, coarse-grained and firm. Juicy and brisk, highly acidic if not left to ripen completely on the tree.

cultivation: Moderately vigorous and upright spreading. Natural dwarfing tree. Precocious. Very winter hardy and suitable for cold climates. It starts to bear fruit quite young but has a tendency to produce best every other year.

cold storage: This apple does not keep well in storage.
