Taunton Golden Pippin

identification: Medium or smaller, oblate. The skin colour is bright yellow which is blushed red and marked with darker streaks on the sun exposed face, and russet patches on the shaded face. The stem is short and set in a narrow and shallow basin.
characteristics: The flesh is yellow, firm and crisp. Sweet, brisk and flavourful. Keeps three months in cold storage.
uses: An excellent eating apple.
ploidism: Self sterile.
