identification: Entirely washed deep red and marked with light coloured lenticels.
characteristics: The flesh is white with reddish veins. crisp.
uses: A good choice for fruit salads and dried apple rings because of its sweet tart flavour and the fact that it does not brown.
origins: Found in 1965by Charles Stultz of Havelock, New Brunswick (Canada) amd subsequently propogated by Corn Hill Nursery.
cultivation: Vigorous, spreading spur bearer. Slow to start bearing. Biennial. Does well in Zone 4.
cold storage: Does not store well.
harvest: In the first half of the fourth period.
ploidism: Self sterile.
harvest period: 4
