identification: Medium size, conic to oblong conic and angular on the sides with a ribbed crown. The skin is green with russet and pearly lenticels and usually blushed brownish red on the sun exposed face. The eye is medium size and closed, set in a shallow and wide, puckered basin, sometimes surrounded by a slightly knobbed crown. The stem is long and slender, set in a narrow, russeted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is greenish, soft and tender, sweet, slightly tart and spicy with a slight aniseed flavour.
uses: Eating apple.
