identification: Medium size, round with angular sides. Greenish yellow, sometime blushed faint orange on the sun exposed face. The eye is small and partly open, set in a deep and narrow basin, sometime surrounded by a faintly knobbed crown. The stem is short to medium and somewhat slender, set in a deep and narrow, russeted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is white, tender and soft, crisp. Sweet.
uses: Cooking. Makes a sweet apple sauce.
