identification: Small to medium in size. Base colour is yellow over which is a perfusion of broken deep red streaks. They eye is medium size and partly open, set in a medium deep, wide basin, sometimes surrounded by a knobbed crown. The stem is medium length, medium thickness and set in a deep and moderately narrow cavity.
characteristics: Flesh is creamy yellow, firm and somewhat crunchy, tangy and sweet with a hint of lychee and roses, especially under the sun?exposed face.
uses: Intended to be eaten fresh.
origins: Created at the University of Wagniningen s Centre for Plant Breeding and Reproduction Research in the Netherlands with the specific intent of coming up with a variety that co be enjoyed by most—though not all—people who otherwise have an allergy to certain proteins (Mal d1) commonly found in apples. cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright spreading, spur bearer. Resistant to scab and canker but susceptible to mildew. Crops heavily and ripens early part of the late season.
