identification: Medium to large, round to round conic, often lop-sided. The base colour is greenish yellow, over which is a bright red wash that covers more than half the surface. Fades into pale red, broken striping on the shaded side. The calyx is medium size, partly open and set in a moderately deep and narrow basin. The stem is very long and set in a deep and narrow, russetted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is creamy white, Juicy and sweet.
origins: Developed by crossing Golden Delicious with Cox's Orange Pippin. Developed in 1960 by Otto von Louda at Penecin, Bohemia (Czech Republic). Introduced in 1976.
