identification: Medium size and round conic. The skin base colour is yellow which is covered up to three quarters with dense, darker stripes. Develops a bloom.
characteristics: The flesh is white, soft and tender. Juicy, sweet and almost no acidity and mild flavour.
uses: A moderate fresh eating apple.
origins: Developed by D.S. Blair at the Federal Agriculture Research Station in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) by crossing Crimson Beauty with Melba. Introduced in 1964.
cultivation: Moderately vigorous, Biennial. Hardy.
cold storage: Does not keep in storage.
harvest: Early in the fourth period and requires two pickings.
