identification: Large, round and flattened with ribbed sides and ridged crown. The skin is greenish yellow which is washed dull red with scattered drark stripes on the sun exposed side. The shaded side has some faint stripes and greyish lenticels. The sem is short and set in a deep cavity which is russeted with some of the russet radiating outward across the shoulder.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, tender and crisp. Very juicy and sweet, brisk and flavourful. Keeps two months in cold storage.
uses: A cooking apple which is sometimes eaten frehs.
ploidism: Self sterile.
