summary: A fairly large and bright red and sweet apple developed in New Zealand for the supermarket trade.
identification: Medium size, conic shape. Base colour is greenish yellow, over which is an intense, red wash that covers almost the entire surface. Smooth, glossy skin is usually lightly bloomed skin as it matures, no russet. The stem is somewhat long and moderately stout, set in a wide and shallow cavity. The calyx is large and set in a medium deep and wide basin. Scattered, small, tan lenticels.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured, firm, fine-grained. Moderately juicy and slightly tangy.
