identification: Round to conic shape. The base colour is yellow over which is a deep, red wash covering most or all of the surface. Some russet may develop around the stem cavity. The stem is long and moderately slender, set in a deep and moderately wide cavity. The skin develops a slight bloom and greasiness as it ripens.
characteristics: The flesh is white, fine-grained and firm. Juicy, sweet and lightly aromatic.
origins: Developed at Havelock North (New Zealand) in 2001 from a cross of
Scifresh x A080R12T094.
cultivation: Moderately vigorous. Spreading
vulnerabilities: Somewhat susceptible to fire blight.
