identification: Medium size, conic to round conic. The base colour is greenish yellow, washed bright red on the sun exposed face and marked with a pattern of broken red stripes that fades onto the shaded surfaces. The eye is medium size and partly open, set in a shallow basin which is surrounded by an irregularly knobbed crown. The stem is very short and medium thickness, set in a very narrow and somewhat deep cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream coloured, crisp. sweet?tart. Intense fruity aromas.
origins: Developed at the Institut f r Obstforschung Dresden? Pillnitz (Germany) by crossing Helios with Apollo. Introduce 1985.
cultivation: Moderately vigorous. Pyramidal crown. Spur bearer. Precocious. Does well on M.26, also on M.9 in rich soils.
