identification: Medium tending to small and round oblate. The skin is pale yellow maturing to bright yellow, sometimes with a blush of pink on the sun exposed face. The eye is large and partly open, set in a wide and packered basin. The stem is medium long, set in a deep and open cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is white, fine?grained and firm. Juicy and brisk, nutty. Keeps three months in storage.
uses: Both fresh eating and baking.
origins: France where it was used both as an eating apple and for dwarfing root stock.
cultivation: A dwarf tree with mostly surface roots. It starts to produce fruit quite young. The fruit tends to drop at ripene or even a bit earlier. Ready for harvest late in the FOURTH period.
notes: Paradise is also a synonym for Thorle Pippin and White Paradise, which are both different apple varieties.
