identification: Small tending to medium size. Long conic. Greenish yellow or yellow. The eye is small and partly open, set in a very shallow and very narrow basin. The stem is very long and slender, set in a shallow and wide cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream coloured and crisp. Juicy and sweet sharp.
uses: Sometimes eaten out of hand when fully ripe, but mostly used for making a brisk and flavourful apple sauce.
origins: Raised by nurseryman Jo Nicolai, Belgium.
