identification: Medium size. Conic. The base colour is yellow over which is a deep red wash which fades to reveal a pattern of bright red stripes. The eye is medium size, and partly open, set in a shallow, narrow basin. The stime is very short and stout, set in a medium deep and narrow cavity which is russeted with rays extending onto the shoulder.

origins: Woburn Park Bristol UK 1915 nfc: A weeping tree budded at Woburn 1915?16, the grafts having been taken from a tree planted at Woburn in 1894 labelled Calville Blanche d’Ete but does not resemble it.
cultivation: Small, weakly vigorous, upright tree with drooping branches. Bears fruit on spurs. Ready for harvest in the middle of THIRD period.
