identification: Medium to large, round conic. The base colour is green over which it blushed red and marked with darker red stripes. Abundant light coloured lenticels. The calyx is medium size and closed. set in a narrow, shallow basin. The stem is slender, medium long and set in a deep, narrow cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured. Firm and somewhat tart.
origins: Developed by Canada Department Agriculture Research Station, Morden, Manitoba (Canada) in the 1950s by crossing Haralson with Melba.
cultivation: Produces annual crops.
cold storage: Pick fully ripe for storage.
harvest: Ready to be picked at the end of the third period.
ploidism: Self sterile.
