identification: Medium size, round conic. The skin is smooth and green, over which there is a deep red blush and a pattern of darker red stripes on the sun exposed face. The eye is large and closed, set in a deep and narrow basin which is lightly ribbed and surround by a lightly knobbed crown. The stem is very short and somewhat stout, set in a deep and narrow cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is greenish, fine grained and crisp. Juicy, sweet?sharp and fruity. Keeps three months in cold storage.
uses: Dual Purpose. Sweetens with cooking.
