identification: Large, flat rounded, tending to conic. The base colour is yellowish green over which is a bright red wash that does not extend to the shoulder of the cavity. Some narrow darker red stripes. The eye is medium size and partly open, set in a somewhat shallow, funnel shaped basin. The stem is very short and stout, set in a shallow and narrow basin.
characteristics: The flesh is white, soft and mealy. Sweet with a mild flavour. Keeps three months in cold storage.
