identification: Large, conic, often angular sides and lopsided. The base colour is yellow to pale yellow over which is a bright red red blush that covers all sun exposed surfaces but fades to pink on the shaded sides. The eye is small and closed, set in a shallow and open basin which is surrounded by a knobbed crown. The stem is medium length, slinder and set in a deep and narrow basin which is often russeted. Bloomed at maturity.
