identification: Large, round tending to ovate, ribbed sides, ridged crown. The skin is yellow over which are streaks of dark red and covered with patches of thin russet.The stalk is heavy and short, set in a deep, wide cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, very tender and juicy. Brisk. Keeps about two months in storage.
