identification: Medium size. Conic with angular sides. The base colour at maturity is yellow with a slight greenish hue and blushed bright red on the sun exposed face, on the shaded faces there is a pattern of fine red striping. The eye is small and tightly closed set in a shallow basin which is surrounded by a sharply knobbed crown. The stem is short and slender, set in a medium depth and open cavity which is russeted with cinnamon rays extending onto and sometimes over the shoulder.
characteristics: The flesh is creamy white and soft. Moderately juicy and sweet with a hint of strawberry flavours. Keeps fo month in cold storage.
