Lemon Queen
identification: Large, conic. Green to lemon yellow, sometimes with a light coper blush on the sun exposed face. The eye is small and closed, set in a puckered shallow basin. The stem is long and set in a funnel shaped cavity which has russet ray often extending over the shoulder and onto the face of the apple.
characteristics: The flesh is white or pale cream, firm and fine grained. Sweet and flavourful.Keeps two months in cold storage.
origins: Scotland.
cultivation: Weakly vigorous. Ready for harvest in the middle of the THIRD period.
