identification: Large, conic. The base colour is a greenish yellow over which is a light orange blush covered with a pattern of red, broken stripes. The eye is small and closed, set in a deep and narrow basin. The stem is very short and set in a deep and narrow cavity.
characteristics: coarse?grained, soft. Very acidic when first harvested but mellowing to sweet?sharp and perfumed in storage. Keeps three months.
